Adventures in Potty Training, Part 1

Friday night (Dec. 12) included a big moment for Julia--she went pee pee on the potty for the first time! Her reaction was priceless: "it's raining! it's raining from my vagina." (One day she's going to discover this blog and kill me for posting this.)

Little School Girl

BOO!

This year, Julia dressed up as Minnie Mouse for Halloween. Although she talked happily about wearing her Minnie Mouse costume before the fact, when the day actually arrived, J was less than thrilled with the dress-up experience. She enjoyed getting candy during trick or treating on Maple Street, but really preferred passing out candy at our door.

All dressed up for high holiday services...

Back to School

Julia started back at school. This year, she's in the big girl Two's (f/k/a Toddlers) class. Her teachers are Ms. Cindi (Steinberg) and Ms. Lisa (Nates). Julia loves school! These are some pictures from the first day of school.

And these are some pictures from the first 2 weeks that were taken by Julia's teachers. (To enlarge the photos, just click on them).

Nova Scotia Trip- July 2008

We had a wonderful trip to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. We stayed in the town of Ingonish Beach and had beautiful weather. Julia especially loved playing at the lake beach at Keltic.

We were so happy that Shoshana, Ella, Amelia, and Kate were there, as well as Nana, Papa, Aunt Diane, Uncle Harold, and Noah.

On one of the days, Stuart and Laina hiked the Skyline Trail and spent an afternoon in Cheticamp.

We loved spending time at the beach, playing in the sand and finding seashells.

On one of the days, Stuart played golf with Shoshana at Highland Links (Laina came along for the scenery).

We also enjoyed a fun morning in nearby Neil's Harbour and Black Brook beach. We got to see where the lobster fishermen bring in the traps.

Family pictures at the cottage.

On our last night, we went to Keltic to hear a local musician and eat lobster rolls.

A great time was had by all!
